100 Days of Dev: Series 4 / 2020 (Days 21-30) Starships
Days 21-30 I focused on 3 different projects/tasks:
1) Ludum Dare of course wrapped up on tuesday Morning (day 21), there were a few last minute fixes I needed to sort out, and then over the following days I continued working on fixing various issues, playing and voting on other peoples games and interacting with the Ludum Dare community. The game has so far got a lot of feedback and easily got the required 20 votes needed to qualify for final scoring.
Im also taking certain bits of the game apart and rewriting various scripts, which were thrown together in a rush during the gamejam but once rewritten can go into my code example library. The dialogue system for a start needs a overhaul, as its the first dialogue system Ive written!

2) Game Collection – Something ive been meaning to do for ages is dig up my first ever Ludum Dare game – Darkness Creeping, from 2012. Ive recently started an itch.io account (https://alex-adedge.itch.io/) so its time to all all of my past gamejam games to that account.
Its good to have them playable and preserved somewhere other than just my private server and Darkness Creeping was so old I didnt even know if it would still be online! But it turns out mediafire still exists, along with then old Ludum Dare website, and so I was able to download the game runtime and even the original source files.

3) Starship / Mars Project(s)
Days 25-30 were all focused on Mars projects, I put a good few hours into updating my SN-XX series Starship, now that Starhopper and MK1 are basically finished (and in the process of being painted/printed).
Then since my SN series Starship was looking good enough, I used the photo posted from Elon below as a good excuse to do some editing/future concepts for Starship. I used this render test to tweek the metal material to match the real life segment of Starship, and with a bit of rendering and final editing in photoshop I think I got it pretty close!

SpaceX fans on twitter really enjoyed the edit, and it got a lot of positive attention and feedback which is always great to see.

Thats all for days 21-30.
Total hours recorded: 87 hours, 5 minutes
