The 2025 100 Day Challenge Begins!
Well after 2 years.. its time for another 100 Day Challenge!
This year’s challenge started: September 23rd, 2025
The Setup
This year I have a few people joining me (who might blog here as well), just like I did back in 2019. Sometimes these challenges can be great to do solo, but I feel like I prefer it when other people come along as well. Bringing together likeminded people, who are creative and interested in self improvement will always be a great thing to enable.
I haven’t pushed myself to do a challenge like this for 2 years now. The most recent 100 Day Challenge was in 2022. But with the way this year has gone, and facing only 100 days left in 2025 – it felt like the perfect time to challenge myself (and others) to finish this year with some productivity!
The blog where I am writing this now (this ‘100 Day Blog’) – has now been migrated to my new server (here at alexdelta.dev), which it will call home moving forward. My old server (delta-edge.com) has been my website/server for many years now, and will be decommissioned in the near future.
The old blog links are even fixed now, so any past tweets or google links should redirect over to the migrated blog.
The new wordpress theme is.. not good (I will tinker with some better themes when I have the time)
The 2025 Challenge
This year I have aimed to be a bit more organized, and a bit more official.
There was a short period of time in the fortnight before the challenge started where I put together a central web-page location for challenge info, tips and some initial resources – and so I used this page when invited a few people to join. About 6-7 people decided to jump in this year – which is great!
The challenge info page has some handy things like a dynamic calendar, and will be a solid starting point for any future 100 day challenges.

A Brief History of Past 100 Day Challenges (2017 -> 2025)
2017
My 1st 100 Day Challenge!
I focused on gamedev, in particular around my progress through a C# Unity Game Development course on Udemy. I somehow also managed to produce VLOGs throughout this challenge (?!)
(Completed 100 Days)

2018
My 2nd 100 Day Challenge.
I completed this one well. No vlogging though, just blog posts every 10 days and plenty of dev.
I also believe some friends joined in this time.
(Completed 100 Days)

2019
A small group this year, I had some friends join me along with this challenge.
Split between dev and health goals.
(Partial Success), as I lost momentum around day 70.

2020
My 2020 Challenge was based on 3D printing, game dev, music, writing.
This 100 day challenge I was also doing consecutive days, and kept going after the 100 days ended, reaching somewhere around 160 days.
(Completed + continued post-100 days)

2021
Focusing on shaders and gamedev, with some health related goals on the side. I completed the 100 days for this one, but only wrote blog posts up until the half way point.
The first 100 day challenge where I slowed down a bit and was more reasonable on myself, rather than pushing for consecutive days.
(Completed 100 Days)

2022
2022 was an attempt! I am unsure exactly what went wrong for this one, but I didnt get far into it at all.
(Not Completed)

Its very interesting looking back on these past challenges. From memory I felt like I hadn’t reached 100 days on most of them. But I really only bombed out of 1 Challenge, and all the others were majority complete successes or I just lost momentum towards the end.
It goes to show how we can look back on our past achievements with too much negativity too easily (which is why reflection on the past + documenting these things is so helpful!)
/End
For my own challenge goals this year, I will go into detail about these in my upcoming Day-10 kick-off & review post.
That’s all for now, stay tuned for some upcoming 10-Day milestone blogs and stats next!
