Here we go .. again!

This time last year I was gearing up for my 2nd ‘100 Days of Game Dev’ Challenge – this March myself and some others are again gearing up for another 100 Day challenge!

This time its just ‘100 Days of Dev’ because the main project I’ll focus on isn’t game-dev based but will instead focus around Photogrammetry (more details on that project closer to the challenge start). I still plan on having some game development projects in the works during the challenge as well.

For March the idea is to do a more relaxed ‘March warm-up’ just like a few of us did last year – where the aim is to get organised and get the ball rolling ahead of the main challenge by sorting out goals, starting project work and just in general setting up for the challenge – while not enforcing consecutive days of work like we do during the challenge.

For the first 10 days of March Ive focused on setting up plans/notes and a Trello board for the 100 Day Challenge projects. Ive also started various bits and pieces of work, which so far has mainly been boring setup stuff, which is at least nice to get out of the way!

So to wrap up, some completed tasks worth mentioning so far:

  • Planning/goals for the 100 Days primary project
  • Planning other projects (game dev projects) that Id like to work on when time allows
  • Several tasks completed for a mini game coding project
  • Photogrammetry research and testing (looking into the right software/workflow to use)
  • Hippo-plushie scan – Successful
  • Chinese statue scan – Started/WIP

March – a good time for getting back into photogrammetry, with a test plushie 3D scan!

More updates and details later in March.
